Guild Wars 2 Wie Gleitet Man

Emotes are chat commands that cause the player'due south character to perform an animation; a description of the animation appears in the emote conversation aqueduct. They cannot be used underwater.

List of emotes [edit]

Each emote is listed beneath with the corresponding chat-window text. The third cavalcade shows the text that appears when you directly an emote at the current target, past appending "@" after the emote, e.g. "/salute @".

Some emotes tin be used while sitting on a chair placed in the world of Tyria. Novelty chairs do not support any emotes except Victory Rock.

Almost emotes are available for all accounts; however, some of them must be unlocked first, as indicated in the post-obit table.

Notes
  1. ^ /rank is a special example: while it causes your character to perform the /cheer blitheness, it does non transport a message to the chat log like other emotes and can merely be used in one case a infinitesimal. It does non piece of work in PvP matches or in WvW. Similar the /cheer emote, information technology can be used while sitting on a chair.
  2. ^ a b Does non appear on the /emotelist.

Custom emotes [edit]

Yous can create custom emotes by typing /me, /emote, /em, or /due east followed by a space and the text to display as an emote. There are no associated animations for custom emotes, and opponents in Globe vs World will non exist notified of these in their chat logs, they will run across "[<world> <rank>] gestures." instead. For instance,

  • /me laughs in triumph displays "[Grapheme Proper name] laughs in triumph" in a gray color, but the character volition not perform the laughing emote. If done in World vs Earth by a actor, a foe would run into it as: "[Globe Name] [Globe vs World rank] gestures."

The display radius of this custom emote conversation is abnormally big, at least twice equally big every bit the radius of /say conversation.

Targeting emotes [edit]

If you target some other thespian or NPC and include an "@" after a non-custom emote, the emote will be directed toward that player or NPC.

Case:

  • /cheer @ while targeting Logan Thackeray displays [Grapheme] cheers for Logan Thackeray .

Note: the "@" is not an bodily [Target] variable, and then appending "@" to a custom emote but prints the "@" at the end of the custom emote text.

Case:

  • /me tickles @ while targeting Logan Thackeray displays [Character] tickles @ and non [Grapheme] tickles Logan Thackeray.

Synchronizing emotes [edit]

Appending an asterisk "*" to an emote (east.g. "/dance *") volition put it into a queue which is processed every five seconds. This allows for multiple players to do emotes at the exact aforementioned time.

Persistent emotes [edit]

Some emotes are persistent - significant they will not cease until you practice a physical activity. When you use a skill with an activation time, move, perform an activeness (including entering combat and looting), sheathe / draw a weapon, or press the Esc central, the emote will end.

Showing your weapons during an emote [edit]

Players tin can show their weapon persistently during an emote past opening the hero panel, removing the weapon, and then re-equipping information technology. If first-person photographic camera is enabled in the options, zooming into kickoff-person and back out achieves the same issue.

See as well [edit]

  • Conversation command

Notes [edit]

  • The /emotelist command volition brandish a full list of available emotes in chat.
  • The /rank emote has a cooldown of sixty seconds.
  • Emotes are unavailable during PvP matches for free accounts.
  • Some tonics tin can use emotes, see hither for a listing.
  • Back items will disappear during emotes.

Trivia [edit]

  • The trip the light fantastic toe emote shows a race-dependent choreography:
    • Asura will dance the Robot, a style of poplocking, opening with an asura golem start-up animation.
    • Charr will trip the light fantastic toe the Haka, a traditional trip the light fantastic from the Māori people of New Zealand.
    • Humans volition do the Australian underground Hardstyle dance Melbourne Shuffle, featured in the music video for "Party Stone Anthem" by LMFAO.
      • If two humans synchronise their dance adjacent to each other, they will face towards each other during the "kicking"
    • Norn volition dance Carlton'due south Dance from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
    • Sylvari will trip the light fantastic toe a Bhangra like this ane, a Panjabi-style dance.
  • In the December PvP update, the command /rank was updated to allow /rank [rank_level] to prove any unlocked PvP Rank finisher. (e.thou. /rank 43 spawns the tiger rank finisher if information technology is unlocked in the account).
  • While in a transformation, the dance and other emotes are based on which skeleton model the transformation uses (e.g. Lich Form uses a male norn skeleton). Transformations that don't use a skeleton model used past a playable race usually don't have an animation for most emotes.
  • /trip the light fantastic was not available until the August 21st Stress Test. Many emotes from Guild Wars i such every bit /guitar, /flute, and /drum are not in the game but when entered into conversation they do not yield an 'invalid command' message. Since this was also true for /trip the light fantastic toe, many suspected that these emotes would become bachelor in the future. All the same, /flute and /drum — along with many other musical instruments — have since been fabricated bachelor as Precious stone Shop items instead.
  • Some Molten Brotherhood enemies in the Cragstead instance are capable of performing a /taunt emote. Performing this emote yourself does non yield the 'Unknown command' message.
  • Throughout the Shiverpeaks, using /kneel in forepart of altars/shrines gives boons.
  • In Charr territory, using /salute on charr statues gives boons.
  • When using /sigh or /yawn; while nothing will happen, the game will also not respond with an unknown command message.
  • Using /shiverplus has the aforementioned character animation and discription equally /shiver, but with extra visual effects such as frosted breath and wind blowing around the graphic symbol.
  • Using /threaten on ornery crabs turns them to hermit crabs.
  • Some in-game items react to emotes.
